"The Hidden Chaos of Growth"

$2,330.00

Original Art

38" x 72"
Acrylic, Oil, Oil Stick on Canvas

Artist’s Reflection:

“With an astro chart full of water (I have a stellium in both Pisces and Scorpio), I am drawn to the sea, lakes, rivers, and even a good bath or a puddle to splash about in. The water calms me. It takes my frenetic energy and acts as a solvent: cools, smooths, dilutes, and eases the emotional moments that overwhelm me.

However, my trips to British Columbia, Iceland, Arizona, and now living in the Maya Hills of Belize, I find myself enamoured and in awe of the energy of mountains. I don’t know where this draw comes from, but after several years of taking my spiritual journey seriously, I think I have figured it out.

Google will succinctly tell you, “Mountains form where two continental plates collide. Since both plates have a similar thickness and weight, neither one will sink under the other. Instead, they crumple and fold until the rocks are forced up to form a mountain range. As the plates continue to collide, mountains will get taller and taller.”

It reminds me a lot of my spiritual journey. Growth comes from the chaos that ensues under the surface: the uncomfortable shifting of views and clashing of beliefs until finally, growth occurs, and your viewpoint from the top is a little clearer and a little wider.

This piece represents both where the mountains meet the sea and where my spiritual growth meets moments of peace in quiet, resting waters. Where the tide stills, and I can rest, knowing that the work is a personal journey and the climb is worth the view.”

A piece of original art adds an eye-catching accent, some colour, and a bit of texture to a gallery wall, niche, or corner of your home.

This 38” x 72" painting comes rolled for efficient and safe delivery. Should you have questions regarding stretching original art, please check out our blog post HERE or contact us directly at artlovers@lilidauphinee.com
