“I often think of the planet I am leaving behind for my children. I’m a relentless optimist by nature, but it is hard to ignore that our dear Gaia has been brutally abused over recent generations. This piece is a reminder that Earth is simply on loan to us for the time that we are here. We must treat her with care, advocate for her and show gratitude for her. She must be maintained like a precious heirloom so that we have her to pass on to future generations. ‘Something Borrowed, Something Blue’ is a keen reminder that we are merely keepers of the land passing through for a short time”
